Technical conditions for plates of ABS EQ56-Z35

1. Scope
The technical conditions apply to plates of EQ56-Z35 with thickness not more than 100mm. (8mm-100mm)
2. Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation
The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of ABS rules. Thickness tolerance is -0.3mm.
3. Technical conditions
3.1 Chemical composition (Ladle analysis)
The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

Note: Per batch furnace number product analysis [N]<200ppm.

3.2 Steel making process: EAF+LF/VD

3.3 Tensile properties
The tensile properties of EQ56-Z35 shall meet the requirement as table 2.

3.4 Impact properties
Impact test in the longitudinal and transverse for plates of EQ56-Z35 shall meet the requirements per table 3.

3.5 Grain size
Grain size for plates shall be according to ABS rules.
3.6 Surface quality
The surface quality of plates shall be accordance with ABS rules

Plates shall be ultrasonic inspected per ASTM A578/A578M level C.
