ASTM A573Gr58 structural carbon steel plate of improved toughness owned the minimum yield strength at 220 MPa,and the tensile strength of A573Gr58 shall be within 400-490Mpa.A573/A573M specification covers structural quality carbon manganese silicon steel plates in three tensile strength range for A573 Grade 58,A573 Grade 65 and A573 Grade 70.A537Gr58 is intended primarily for service at atmospheric temperatures where improved notch toughness is important.The steel of A573Gr58 shall be made by one or more of the following processes as open hearth,basic oxygen or electric furnace.
