A514 Grade H (A514 Gr.H) steel is a high-yield-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel plate. It is suitable for welding. A514 Grade H steel plates are mainly used in places that require high tensile strength and high yield, such as engineering car lifting gears, large excavators, and racks for offshore platforms.

Machining
Drilling, countersinking, counterboring, tapping, milling, and general machining can be done with conventional equipment and carbide tools.
Welding
A514 Grade H steel has excellent weldability and can be welded with simple procedures. Ideal welding wires include our tensaweld workmate for general purposes and tensaweld nickel-90 for increased tensile strength in the weld joint.
